Kunpimook Bhuwakul (Thai: กันต์พิมุกต์ ภูวกุล; rtgs: Kanphimuk Phuwakun; Thai pronunciation: [kä̃n˧.pʰi˥.muk̚˥ pʰuː˧.wä˥.kũn˧]; born May 2, 1997), commonly known by his nickname BamBam (Hangul: 뱀뱀, Thai: แบมแบม), is a Thai singer/rapper based in South Korea. He is most popularly known as a member of the South Korean boy group Got7.
BamBam is the second-youngest of the family, with two older brothers and a younger sister. As his father died due to a car accident when he was young, they all grew up in a Thai restaurant owned by their mother. His stage name and nickname is named after Bamm-Bamm Rubble of The Flintstones. He also joined a dance crew "We Zaa Cool" with compatriot Lisa of Black Pink.
He trained under JYP Entertainment for about three and a half years before his debut in Got7. His first pre-debut appearance was on an episode of Mnet's reality-survival program WIN: Who Is Next, which aired on September 6, 2013. Bambam alongside Mark, Jackson and Yugyeom were competing against the YG Entertainment trainees: Team A and Team B (that are now known as WINNER (Team A) and iKON (Team B)). Bam Bam revealed that JYP was reluctant for him to join the show and debut at first due to his age, but it was Yang Hyun Suk that changed his mind.
Got7's debut song, "Girls Girls Girls" and the music video for the track were released on January 14, 2014.
