Balaraju (Telugu: బాలరాజు) is a 1948 Telugu fantacy film, produced and directed by Ghantasala Balaramaiah on Pratibha Productions banner. Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Anjali Devi, S. Varalakshmi in the lead roles and music Jointly composed by Ghantasala, Galipenchala Narasimha Rao, C. R. Subbaraman. The film recorded as Industry Hit at the box office which was first Telugu Silver Jubilee film.
One Yakshini fell in love with another Yaksha. As a result, Indra curses them to be born as humans on the Earth. The Yaksha is born as Balaraju (Akkineni) and Yakshini as Sita (Varalakshmi). Balaraju does not remember the past love story. Sita follows him and tries to remind him of their past love history and finally succeeds after many twists.
