Baksa (Bengali: বাক্সা ) is a census town and a gram panchayat in Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is located in Chanditala–II block in Srirampore subdivision and is served by Chanditala police station.
Baksa is located at 22°43′26″N 88°14′27″E / 22.7238°N 88.2407°E . It is located in the Chanditall–II community development block under the Srirampore subdivision of the Hooghly district.Chanditala police station serves this town.
As per 2011 Census of India Baksa had a total population of 6,432 of which 3,196 (50%) were males and 3,236 (50%) were females. Population below 6 years was 600. The total number of literates in Baksa was 4,767 (81.74 % of the population over 6 years).
