Baco is a third class municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 35,060 people.
Baco is located in the northern part of Oriental Mindoro. It is bounded to the north by the Verde Island Passage, to the east by Calapan City and Naujan to the south by Santa Cruz and Sablayan in Occidental Mindoro, and to the west by San Teodoro. It has 27 barangays and Brgy. Poblacion known as its center of commerce.
Baco is politically subdivided into 27 barangays.
