Aunn Zara (Urdu: عون زارا) was a 2013 Pakistan drama series telecast on A-Plus Entertainment. It revolves around a married couple spoilt by their respective families and are desperate to escape this attention. It is based on Faiza Iftikhar's novel, Hisaar-e-Mohabbat (Fort of Love) and is directed by Haissam Hussain. It stars Maya Ali and Osman Khalid Butt in leading roles. it was also aired in India on Zindagi , premiering on 23 June 2014 . The shows ended its run in India on 12 July 2014
Story involves around lives of Aunn and Zara. Aunn is the only male in his family. As a result, he is pampered by everyone in his family. Zara is the only daughter in her family whose father Jamshed, is a retired army officer. Jamshed wants her to join the air force, while she wants to have a family life. Zara is the only woman in her family with father and paternal grandfather.
Aunn attends a wedding with his friend where he meets Zara, who insults him in front of everyone. Aunn's aunt Nighat finds photo of Aunn with Zara in his room. Aunn tells them that he wants to marry Zara. As a result, his family go to Zara's home with marriage proposal. Zara lies to her father that she loves Aunn, even though she does not even know him.
Jamshed decides to accepts Aunn to be his son-in-law, and Aunn and Zara get married. Jamshed arrives to fulfill a wedding custom where the newly married couple has to spend two days in the bride's home. Dadi and Nighat oppose this, but Husna convinces them to let Aunn go. Zara's father takes them to his home, and it is decided that they would return after their walima (Reception).
Aunn decides to take Zara out to see a movie. Husna agrees on the condition that Zara drive the car. Sensing that Aunn is angry at this, Zara allows Aunn to drive the car. However, they get into an accident where Zara is hurt. She lies to everyone telling them that she was driving the car. Aunn apologizes to Zara.
