Atninsky District (Russian: Атни́нский райо́н; Tatar: Cyrillic Әтнә районы, Latin Ətnə rayonı) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the republic. The area of the district is 681.4 square kilometers (263.1 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Bolshaya Atnya. Population: 13,650 (2010 Census); 14,411 (2002 Census). The population of Bolshaya Atnya accounts for 25.9% of the district's total population.
