Athimarapatti is a panchayat town in Thoothukudi district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

As of 2001 India census, Athimarapatti had a population of 17,527. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Athimarapatti has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 53% of the males and 47% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Mr. Siva subramanian Nadar, who is the mirasudhar of the village and also the father of Ramasamy Nadar, was the main reason for the agricultural development in the village. Mirasudhar's family ruled the village for almost 5 generations. However, after the introduction of panchayathi raj government, presidential elections were held in the village to choose the head of the panchayat.

The graveyards of the horse used by the royal family is still found in the abandoned part of the village

This village is 9 km from Tuticorin city. A narrow road between Spic Nagar and Muthaiyapuram takes you to this beautiful village. Either side of the road you can find beautiful greenery. There are temple in the heart of the village, Santhanamari Amman temple, Sree pathrakali Amman Temple, Sree Durgai Amman temple was located at middle of the village., Sree Veera madasaamy temple and muniasamy temple and karuppasamy temple'. The temple are located in middle of the village. People in this village celebrate the function (Kovil kodai) in the temple. In the month of August (aavani) and April (chithirai). The streets of this village will be decorated with colourful lights and temporary shops during the festival. "As far as Athimarapatti is concerned, banana plantation is the main occupation."
