Asuwa (足羽郡 Asuwa-gun?) was a district located in Fukui Prefecture, Japan.
The district had a population of 4,941 with an area of 250.74 km².(2005 Census)
The day before the dissolution on January 1, 2006, the district had only one town:
On February 1, 2006, the town of Miyama, along with the town of Shimizu, and the village of Koshino (both from Nyū District), was merged into the expanded city of Fukui. Therefore, Asuwa District was dissolved as a result of this merger.
All municipalities, including the town of Miyama, were merged into the city of Fukui and became the part of the southeastern part of the city, and most parts of the district are now becoming part of the city centre for Fukui. なお美山町の町制施行前の名である旧:美山村の誕生時点でそれまで 大野郡 にあった羽生・下味見・上味見・芦見, once part of Ōno District moved into the district. Also, parts of the former village of 麻生津村 moved from the city of Fukui to the city of Sabae.

Asuwa or Ashiha (足羽郡 Asuwa no kōri?) was an area located in north-central Echizen Province, and now pointing at the cities of Fukui and parts of Sabae in Fukui Prefecture.
