Asonance is a Czech band established in 1976
Asonance was founded on Jan Neruda's grammar school in late 1976. Former members of the group were Jan and Pavel Lašťovička, Milan Štěrba and František Korecký. They started with folk and country songs.
1977 Eva Fibingerová-Schneiderová and Denisa Vondráčková joined band as vocalists, Denisa as a guitarist also. Eva Fibingerová-Schneiderová left band early in the 1978.
1978 Blanka Štejfová (later Lašťovičková) came as a replacement for Eva Fibingerová-Schneiderová. In the final competition "Písně dlouhejch cest 1978/79" band won second place.
1980-1985 In 1980 Petr Vacek reinforced vocalists part, but in 1984 his performing ends due to emigration to the USA. In 1985 Roman Slaboch replaced him. In 1990 Petr Vacek returned from exile and re-joined band.
Shortly performs Renata Bělorová, Yveta Kasalická, Veronika Glyknerová, Alena Charvátová and Vendula Hugová with her husband Jan Hugo. In 1982 Jan Ráb joined the band and moved its songs closer to Irish melodies with his violin.
1985-1990 Second violinist Jiří Nohel joined the band. Double violin became characteristic.In 1985 Marta Fiklíková (later Nollová) came with her wife. Band added contrabass, bass-guitar and keyboards. A big event that cannot be omitted is arrival of later frontman Luboš Pick.In 1989 joined Asonance also Mirko Rokyta, excellent keyboard player.
1990 - 2013 Asonance has a new singer Petr Bohuslav, new drumm player Aleš ZImolka, who died in 2012 in the car crash and was replaced by David Růžička, a new whistle player and Vocalist - Klára Lašťovičková, whistler players Anna Rábová and Anežka Kufová.
