Asia Business Report is a business news programme produced by the BBC and is shown on BBC World News during the Asian morning hours. This programme used to be available exclusively in Asia-Pacific, South Asia and Middle East but, as of a 1 February 2010 revamp, is now aired worldwide. It is also currently aired on the UK's domestic BBC News and BBC One channel 3 times daily in the early hours of the morning as part of the Newsday programme.
It is broadcast from the BBC's Singapore bureau which is in the central business district of Singapore. The main presenters are Rico Hizon (Sunday-Wednesday) and Sharanjit Leyl (Thursday) and is usually presented by that day's Newsday presenter.
These times are outside of British Summer Time (London) and Daylight Saving Time (New York). The remaining editions are shown on BBC One and BBC World News is presented
Mishal Husain once presented this programme but has since returned to Britain to present the main BBC News bulletin for BBC World News.
From January 13–27, 2014, Babita Sharma presented the programme whilst Rico Hizon was in London. Hizon temporarily joined Leyl in London in July 2015 to allow a new Singapore hub to be built over the summer.
