Arnold Chan (born June 10, 1967) is a Canadian lawyer and politician, who was elected to represent the riding of Scarborough—Agincourt in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2014 by-election. Chan is a member of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Chan attended the University of Toronto, earning an undergraduate and two master's degrees, before obtaining a law degree from the University of British Columbia. Prior to his election, Chan worked as a lawyer and, for a time, as an aide to the current Minister of Immigration, Citizenship and International Trade Michael Chan and the former Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty.
On January 22, 2015 it was revealed to the public that Chan was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and would be taking a leave of absence from Parliament while undergoing treatment.
