The Army Training Command of the Indian Army is one of the seven operational commands of the army. It is based at Shimla. Lt Gen PM Hariz is the present commander.
The Army Training Command, also known as ARTRAC, was established on 1 October 1991 at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh and moved to Shimla on 31 March 1993.The main aim of the command is to maximize effectiveness of the training.
