Armando Evangelista Macedo Freitas (born 3 November 1973), known as Armando Evangelista, is a Portuguese football manager and former player who is a current manager.
In the summer of 2010, three seasons after finishing his professional career as a player, Evangelista embarked on his managerial career by taking charge of Vitória de Guimarães' under-19 team. After two seasons with the under-19 team, Evangelista departed from the Vimaranenses to take charge of Vizela.
His stay with Vizela would prove to be short-lived, as in April 2013, Evangelista would leave his post at Vizela to return to Vitória de Guimarães to manage its reserve side until the end of the 2012–13 season. Despite claiming 9 points from a possible 21, Evangelista was unable to prevent Guimarães' relegation to the third tier. Despite the club's relegation to the third tier, Evangelista stay with the club was prolonged.
The 2013–14 season proved to be his most successful to date, as he guided the Conquistadores to a first-place finish, and thus promotion back to the Segunda Liga. The following season, the 2014–15 season, saw him lead Vitória de Guimarães B to a ninth-place finish in the Segunda Liga. His impressive season saw Evangelista promoted to the Vitória's first team after Rui Vitória's departure from the club.
