Arjuni Morgaon is a town and a tehsil in Gondia subdivision of Gondia district in Nagpur revenue Division in the Berar region in the state of Maharashtra, India.
The region is known for its rice crops and greenery, as most of the land is forested.
Gothangaon Dam situated around 18 km from Arjuni. It is a naturally formed dam build up on a single wall. Several hectares of land is under irrigation because of this dam.
Navegaon Bandh National Park and Bird Sanctuary is around 12 km from Arjuni is well known picnic spot. One can enjoy boating in the beautiful pond.
There is also a Tibetan Refugee camp, located approximately 15 km from Arjuni, providing cultural diversity to the region. They have temples which are open to every visitors, a national bank, and a communal school. The temples are architecturally very exotic and were inspired by models from Tibet.
The economy of the town is mainly agriculture based and most of the people in town are either farmers or farm workers. The small portion of the population constitute Government employees in Govt Schools, college, Tahesil office, railway employees, panchayat samitee employees. The part of community is of merchants & Industrialists. Among businesses there are Indane Gas LPG dealership, kirana shops, groceries, Medical shop, stationaries, shoe merchants, cloths merchants, etc.
Main language in town is Marathi; however, people can understand and speak Hindi and English. The Marathi spoken here is "Zadi" Marathi, widely spken in Vidarbha region. The communities like Marwadi, Gujrathi, mushlim have their own languages but can speak Marathi fluently.
There are three nationalized banks in Arjuni Morgaon (Bank of India, State Bank of India and Dena Bank). There are a few other co-operative banks as well. Bank of India (BOI) and State Bank of India have its ATM in the heart of town.
Arjuni Morgaon is well connected to major industrial and commercial places by road. It is about 130 km from the city of Nagpur and about 80 km from district headquarters, Gondia. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) runs buses and Private buses connecting Arjuni Morgaon to Nagpur via Lakhandur, Paoni,Umrer to Nagpur.
Arjuni Morgaon is an important and very old railway station its fall under south east central railway. which connects to Gondia- Balharshah (280 km Broad gauge)
