Argyle is a village in the town of Argyle in Washington County, New York, United States. It is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village population was 306 at the 2010 census. The village and town are named after Argyll in Scotland, the source of early settlers.

The village is in the Argyle patent of 1764, established in Albany County.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (0.9 km2). None of the area is covered with water.

Argyle is located on NY Route 40. Moses Kill flows through the village. Argyle was named after The Duke of Argyllshire, Scotland.

As of the census of 2000, there were 289 people, 118 households, and 80 families residing in the village. The population density was 810.9 people per square mile (310.0/km2). There were 132 housing units at an average density of 370.4 per square mile (141.6/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 97.92% White, 0.35% Black or African American, 1.73% from other races.
