Aram I Keshishian (Armenian: Արամ Ա. Քեշիշեան ) is born on March 8th, 1947, in Beriut, Lebanon. He is the head of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia and has been Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Church since 1995. He resides in Antelias, Lebanon.
Aram I wrote the following books:
In 2000 he indicated that he had no problem with the substance of Dominus Iesus, the document on relativism of the Holy Office of the Catholic Church, but faulted it for its unecumenical language.
Baselios Thoma Didymos I, the Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan (Primate of the Malankara Orthodox Church), conferred the Order of St. Thomas, the most prestigious honor at the Church, on Aram I on February 27, 2010 at Kolenchery, India.
