Apollon Kalamarias FC is a Greek football club based in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The football club was formed in January 1926.
The team had been in and out of Greek first division until international businessman and former owner of Kalamata F.C., Stavros Papadopoulos, bought the team in 2001. Papadopoulos invested money into the team and brought in many young players from Brazil, and the team gained promotion to the Greek first division within two years. Papadopoulos has relinquished the running of the team since 2004.
They played their first match in the A National Division on 25 October 1959.
Panagiotis Kyprianidis was the first Apollon Kalamarias footballer to play for the Greek National team on 22 May 1963).
The first match in the top division was on 4 September 1983 against PAOK.
Record man of participations: Dimitris (Takis) Toboulidis is the football player with the most participations in the history of Apollon Kalamarias in the A' National Division.
