Sulochana known by her stage name as Anuradha is an Indian film actress who was mainly active in the 1980s and 1990s. She was known for her item numbers. She has acted in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Oriya-language films.
Sulochana was introduced to the film industry by director K.G. George at the age of 13 and he gave her the name Anuradha. She started off as a heroine and later moved on to doing item numbers. She acted in over 700 films.
She was born into a Tamil speaking family to Krishna Kumar, a choreographer and Saroja, a hair dresser in Tamil movies. Anuradha is married to Sathish Kumar, who was a dance director and they have two children Abhinayashree and Kalicharan. Abhinayashree is an actress by profession. Anuradha's husband met with a massive motorcycle accident on November 7, 1996, which caused damage to 6 of his veins inside his brain. He died on 2007 due to heart attack. Her mother Saroja, was a hair-dresser for actresses in films and she died on February 8, 1997.
