Anu Emmanuel is an American actress who predominantly works in South Indian film industry . She made her acting debut as a child artist in the Malayalam film Swapna Sanchari, playing the daughter of Jayaram and Samvrutha Sunil in the film. She is the daughter of film producer and entrepreneur Thankachan Emmanuel and cousin of actress Reba Monica John. She debuted as an adult in Nivin Pauly- starrer Action Hero Biju, directed by Abrid Shine.

Anu Emmanuel made her acting debut as the daughter of Jayaram and Samvrutha Sunil in Kamal's Swapna Sanchari, which was produced by her father Thankachan Emmanuel. Anu was born in the US and was brought up there. She acted in the film when she was studying in 9th standard, and after completing her schools, she went back to US to finish her high school. She made her acting debut as lead in Nivin Pauly starrer Action Hero Biju which was directed by Abrid Shine. She was announced as the female lead in the Telugu film Oxygen, alongside actor Gopichand in the lead.
