Andrea Roncato (Bologna, 7 March 1947) is an Italian actor, comedian and television personality.
Andrea Roncato graduated with a law degree from the University of Bologna; he also has a degree in music theory at the Conservatory. He has participated in several acting classes, in both Italy and the United States.
He, along with Gigi Sammarchi formed the comedy duo Gigi e Andrea, who after a few television appearances, became one of the most famous couples of Italian cinema, especially for their easy-going style and irreverence. With his friend and colleague, he was also, in the eighties, a spokesperson for Agip Petroli and Autobianchi Y10 4WD. After the experience with Sammarchi, Andrea Roncato continued his solo career starring in several films, including some Christmas films with Boldi and De Sica and in some television series.
From 2002 to 2008, he starred as Romanò in the television series Carabinieri on Canale 5 (7 seasons). In 2007, he was made a Knight of Malta. In 2008, he starred in the film Ho ammazzato Berlusconi and in the same year, he also published his book called Ti avrei voluto by the publisher Excelsior1881. The following year, he participated as a contestant on the reality show on Rai 1 called Ballando con le stelle.
