Amarpatan is a town and a nagar panchayat in Satna district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.

Amarpatan is a tehsil place of Satna. It is a Nagar Parishad. It is 36 km from district headquarters, nearest Railway Station is Maihar which is 24 km. Amarpatan is well connected with other stations also. Satna railway station is 36 KM and distance of Rewa station is 42 KM. Amarpatan is a well-developed town. It has a Degree college and many schools. Students from Nearby villages study at the degree college and Hostel facilities are provided for students.
There is an old Garhi in town which was built by the Lodhi community in ancient times. There is a Jagannath Swami temple inside the Garhi.
Lt. Shree Lal Laxman Singh Baghel " was the founder of New Amarpatan and he is very well known in the area and he built many historical buildings at Amarpatan.
The land quality of village is medium. There is no any resource of irrigation hence the agriculture is totally dependent on rains. A tubewell with overtank was established to provide a water supply in times of drought.
As of 2001[update] Indian census, Amarpatan had a population of 16,365. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
