Alvo is a village in Cass County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 132 at the 2010 census.
Alvo was established in about 1892 when the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad was extended to that point. The origin of the name Alvo is obscure.
Alvo is located at 40°52′20″N 96°23′8″W / 40.87222°N 96.38556°W (40.872257, -96.385574).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.10 square miles (0.26 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 132 people, 52 households, and 37 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,320.0 inhabitants per square mile (509.7/km2). There were 60 housing units at an average density of 600.0 per square mile (231.7/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 100.0% White.
There were 52 households of which 42.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.9% were married couples living together, 11.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 7.7% had a male householder with no wife present, and 28.8% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.00.
