Aldwincle is a village and civil parish located in the district of East Northamptonshire, with a population at the time of the 2011 census of 322. It is situated on a bend of the River Nene, 4 miles (6.4 km) to the north of Thrapston.

In 1879, two ecclesiastical parishes, Aldwinkle All Saints and Aldwinkle St Peter merged after the parish church of the former was declared redundant in 1971. All Saints, a designated Grade I listed building, is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

The small primary school, Aldwincle Trinity, opened in 1976.

The village rectory was the birthplace of the English poet, John Dryden and English Civil War figure Charles Fleetwood.

Aldwincle the centre of airport domination in the Midlands. Birmingham, East Midlands, Stansted and London Luton are all within 60-62 miles from Aldwincle.
