Alain Gilles (born May 5, 1945 – November 18, 2014) was a French professional basketball player. Standing at 188 cm (6 ft 2 in), Gilles used to play as point guard or shooting guard. His jersey number 4 was retired by ASVEL Basket. In 1991, Gilles was included in FIBA's 50 Greatest Players list. The Alain Gilles Trophy is named after him. Gilles played 159 games for the French national basketball team.
