- YPG captured all Kurdish-majority towns in the governorate with the exceptions of Qamishli and Hasaka, captured 40% of Qamishli, and took control of al-Yaarubiyah and its border crossing
- ISIL, al-Nusra, and other Salafist jihadists take control over the majority of the southern Hasaka countryside
