Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (born 9 September 1986) is the third grandson of the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. On April 24, 2017, he was appointed by the King as Deputy governor of the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, home to the world's largest onshore oil field.Abqaiq, the world’s largest oil processing plant, the Ghawar oilfield, and the kingdom’s Shiite minority are all located in the Eastern Province.
Prince Ahmed's mother's family controls Mawarid Holding, which owns OSN, one of the largest satellite television providers in the Middle East, and American Express Middle East.
His father is Prince Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; the eldest son of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. His mother is Princess Nouf the daughter of Khaled bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. Prince Ahmed has one brother, Prince Sultan, and two sisters, Princess Sara and Princess Reema.
Prince Ahmed received his primary education at the Dhahran schools in the Eastern provinces. His intermediate education was at the Najd schools in Al Riyadh, and his secondary education was in Al Riyadh schools on 2003. He got the bachelor certificate in law from the King Saud University in 2007. Also, He also got many specialized courses in the field of researching, assets administration, brokerage and investment banking from the Jadwa Investment Corporation.
