Adams is a village in Gage County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 573 at the 2010 census.

The area that would become the village of Adams was initially colonized by the namesake of the settlement, an Indiana pioneer named John O. Adams (1808-1887). Adams arrived in 1857; however, the village of Adams did not exist until John O. Adams negotiated deals with a railroad company that intended to set tracks through his land in 1873.

Adams is located at 40°27′27″N 96°30′37″W / 40.45750°N 96.51028°W / 40.45750; -96.51028 (40.457526, -96.510322).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.58 square miles (1.50 km2), all of it land. The village lies approximately twenty-five miles south of the state capital city of Lincoln.

As of the census of 2010, there were 573 people, 197 households, and 141 families residing in the village. The population density was 987.9 inhabitants per square mile (381.4/km2). There were 217 housing units at an average density of 374.1 per square mile (144.4/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 99.7% White, 0.2% Asian, and 0.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.7% of the population.
