Tourist attractions or scenic areas are the most important and best-maintained tourist attractions in the People's Republic of China, given the highest level of the China National Tourism Administration's rating categories. Initially, 66 locations were approved out of 106 nominations. Additional locations have been added to the list irregularly. As of late 2017, there are 249 official AAAAA tourist attractions in China.
