The 2017 North Dakota Fighting Hawks football team represent the University of North Dakota during the 2017 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They are led by fourth-year head coach Kyle Schweigert and play their home games at the Alerus Center. The Fighting Hawks are a member of the Big Sky Conference.
In 2016, North Dakota finished with a record of 9–3, 8–0 in Big Sky play, to share the conference title with Eastern Washington. They qualified for the FCS Playoffs for the first time and lost to Richmond in the second round.
