The 2017 Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football team will represent Middle Tennessee State University in the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Blue Raiders will play their home games at the Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and will compete in the East Division of Conference USA (C–USA). They will be led by twelfth year head coach .

Middle Tennessee announced its 2017 football schedule on January 26, 2017. The 2017 schedule consists of 6 home and away games in the regular season. The Blue Raiders will host CUSA foes FIU, Marshall, Old Dominion, and UTEP, and will travel to Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, UAB, and Western Kentucky (WKU).

The Blue Raiders will host two of the four non-conference opponents, Bowling Green from the Mid-American Conference and Vanderbilt from the Southeastern Conference and travel to Minnesota of the Big Ten Conference and Syracuse of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
