The 2017–18 Texas Southern Tigers basketball team represents Texas Southern University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tigers, led by sixth-year head coach Mike Davis, play their home games at the Health and Physical Education Arena in Houston, Texas as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Texas Southern had the distinction of having the toughest non-conference schedule in the nation this season, playing all 13 games on the road and finishing with an 0–13 record.

The Tigers finished the 2016–17 season 23–12, 16–2 in SWAC play to win the regular season SWAC championship. They defeated Alabama State, Grambling State, and Alcorn State to win the SWAC Tournament. As a result, they received the SWAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament as a No. 16 seed in the East region. There they lost in the First Round to North Carolina.
