The 2016–17 Grambling State Tigers men's basketball team represents Grambling State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tigers, led by third-year head coach Shawn Walker, play their home games at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center in Grambling, Louisiana and are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The Tigers finished the 2015–16 season 7–24, 4–14 record in SWAC play to finish last in the conference. They lost to Mississippi Valley State in the first round of the SWAC Tournament.
