The 2017–2018 English Hockey League season takes place from 23 September 2017 until April 2018. The regular season consists of two periods, 23 September until 26 November and then 4 February until 25 March. The end of season play offs known as the League Finals Weekend will be held in April.
The Men's Hockey League consists of a Premier Division and the Conference Divisions of East, North and West.

The Investec Women's Hockey League consists of a Premier Division and the Conference Divisions of East, North and West.
2017-18 Investec Women's Hockey League season
The Men's and Women's National Knockout Cup competitions take place from November until May. The 2017-18 season saw a rebranding with the competition now called the England Hockey Championships.

During the winter break from December to February the Super 6s Indoor Championship will take place.
