The 2016 Six-red World Championship is a six-red snooker tournament that was held between 5 and 10 September 2016 at the Bangkok Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
Thepchaiya Un-Nooh was the defending champion, but he lost 6–2 in the second round to Stephen Maguire.

The top four players from each group qualified for the knock-out stage. All matches were best of 9 frames.
