The 2016–17 Troy Trojans men's basketball team represents Troy University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Trojans, led by fourth year head coach Phil Cunningham, play their home games at Trojan Arena and are members of the Sun Belt Conference.
They finished the 2015–16 season 9–22, 4–16 in Sun Belt play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the Sun Belt Tournament.
