The 2014–15 season has been Inter Milan's 83rd consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. Inter has taken part in Serie A, Coppa Italia and UEFA Europa League.

Due to the retirement of club legend Javier Zanetti, at the end of previous season, Andrea Ranocchia is appointed new captain. 2014–15 season starts off with Europa League play-off, in which Inter has beaten Stjarnan by a 9–0 aggregate.

On domestic league, excepting a 7–0 win over Sassuolo,Walter Mazzarri's side offers some poor performances that lead to Roberto Mancini's return. Despite this change Inter keeps on a difficult season resulting in a one-man band, mainly thank to Mauro Icardi's manic goal scoring. The side ends in eighth place, not entering to European football for 2015–16 season.

About Europa League, they are knocked out by Wolfsburg in round of 16 losing both games.

The new home kit is black with a thin blue pinstripe and also boasts a new enlarged and enhanced club crest. The club crest – in the version with the star on the top – will be present exclusively on the jersey. Inside the back of the neck is a pennant tab featuring the proud message "Milano E’ Solo Inter" (Milan is only Inter). It is written in a specially designed font. On the back of the neck is another Saint George's cross to once again proudly represent the city of Milan's coat of arms. The new away kit is completed by white shorts and socks.
