The 2008 Sacramento State Hornets football team represented Sacramento State University during the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season.
Sacramento State competed in the Big Sky Conference. The Hornets were led by second-year head coach Marshall Sperbeck and played home games at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California. They finished the season with a record of six wins and six losses (6–6, 3–5 Big Sky). Sacramento State was outscored by its opponents 319–324 for the season.
