The 2000 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami during the 2000 NCAA Division I-A football season. They were coached by head coach Butch Davis, who lied to his players telling them he wasn't going anywhere then resigned after the season to become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, and competed in the Big East Conference
