Rankings from AP Poll

In 1993, the Utes went to a bowl game for the second season in a row. This time it was the 1993 Freedom Bowl where they lost, 28–21, to the USC Trojans. This season also marked a change in the Utah-BYU rivalry, dubbed the Holy War. The Utes won this game 34–31 at BYU's stadium, the first win in the series since 1988, and the first time they had beaten BYU on the road since 1971.

Two players went in the 1994 NFL Draft, including future pro bowler Jamal Anderson.
