The 1973 Cal State Los Angeles Diablos football team represented California State University, Los Angeles during the 1973 University Division football season.
The Diablos were still members of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association in 1973. As in 1972, since they had downgraded their football program to the point where they no longer qualified as a University Division team, the one game they played against a PCAA team (a loss to Pacific) did not count in the conference standings.
The Diablos were led by Foster Anderson in his third year as head coach. The team played home games at the Campus Field in Los Angeles. They finished the season with a record of four wins, six losses and one tie (4–6–1). The Diablos were outscored 281–320 for the season.
No Cal State Los Angeles players were selected in the 1974 NFL Draft.
