The 1954 Sacramento State Hornets football team represented Sacramento State College during the 1954 college football season.

In their inaugural season of intercollegiate play, Sacramento State competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC). The Hornets were led by head coach Dave Strong. They played home games at Charles C. Hughes Stadium in Sacramento, California. They lost all of their games, finishing the season with a record of zero wins and seven losses (0–7, 0–5 FWC). For the season the team was outscored by its opponents 40–217, and was held scoreless in four of the seven games.

No Sacramento State players were selected in the 1955 NFL Draft.
