The 1940 Pacific Tigers football team represented the College of the Pacific (COP) during the 1940 college football season.

COP competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC). The team was led by head coach Amos Alonzo Stagg, and played home games at Baxter Stadium in . This was Stagg's 51st year as a head coach and his eighth at College of the Pacific. The Tigers finished as champion of the FWC, with four wins and five losses (4–5, 2–0 FWC). Overall, the Tigers were outscored by their opponents 82–94 for the season.

No College of the Pacific players were selected in the 1941 NFL Draft.
