Ženklava (Senftleben in German) is a village and municipality in Nový Jičín District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. The German-speaking carpenter and itinerant evangelist Christian David was born here. After 1722 he led many secret Protestants from the Novy Jicin (Neutitschein) District to safety in Germany, building in Saxony the town of Herrnhut on the estate of Count von Zinzendorf.
