The Çanakkale 1915 Bridge is a planned suspension bridge situated at the western end of the Sea of Marmara, close to Çanakkale, Turkey.
The bridge will have a total length of 3,623 m (11,886 ft). Located approximately 200 km (120 mi) far from Istanbul, it will be the longest suspension bridges in the world by its length of main span of 2,023 m (6,637 ft). It will be part of the Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Balıkesir motorway project, and is currently planned to be built between Sütlüce village of Gelibolu in East Thrace and Kocaveli of Lapseki in Troas.Tekfen Holding designed the bridge after winning the related tender.
The groundbreaking for the bridge is expected to take place on March 18, 2017. The bidding value is given with US$5 billion.
