Eidi (gift)

Eidi is the part of Islamic Festival called “EID UL FITAR”. Eidi is directly associated with children because children get money form their elder relatives (as a EIDI) which they can spent on whole festival in hangouts with friends and wandering here and there etc. Eidi is just like a gift on birthday, it can be money or any precious thing. You can give EIDI to poor, needy or to whom you love most, so people love their children most that’s why EIDI is associated with kids mostly. Eidi is a gift like money, presents or even flowers to:

1) children by the other elders of the family;

2) wives by their husbands;

3) sisters/sisters in law by their brothers; or

4) mothers/mothers in law by their sons (who earn).

5) friends by their friends

Usually Eidi takes the form of money.

EIDI is a gift given to someone on the blessed day of Eid-al-fitr which follows after the month of Ramadan for Muslims around the world.

It usually takes the form of money, and is given by adults to the children of the family when they congregate during the day in celebration and togetherness.

Because money is so revered in western society, it usually means it's revered and valued, yet in simplification one need not give money but rather a thought-out gift to your loved ones, always given with the peace and blessings of the Almighty one Gods name. This purifies the action and gifts good energy into the life of those you love.
