Winthrop Square Tower, is a proposed skyscraper planned for Boston, Massachusetts. If completed, Winthrop Square Tower would stand as the second tallest building in Boston, Massachusetts, and New England, surpassing the 52-story Prudential Tower by 3 stories and at least 1 foot (0.30 m). The Winthrop Square tower would be built on the site of the currently defunct Winthrop Square Garage in the Financial District.
While planning the Winthrop Square Tower, six developers pitched designs to the Boston Redevelopment Authority, where the design by the Millennium Partners was chosen.
On October 26, 2016, the Boston Redevelopment Agency approved the construction of the tower.
In November 2016, Millenium Partners boosted the height to 775 feet.
