Until the featured portal process ceased in 2017, this page highlighted portals that had been designated as featured portals, which had been regarded as being particularly useful, attractive, and well-maintained.

When the process finished, there were 173 featured portals, listed below. A small empty star () on the top right corner of a portal's page is now used to indicate that it was a featured portal at the time when the process ceased operation, instead of the small bronze star used to designate featured content.
