Why Are You OK is the fifth studio album by indie rock band Band of Horses, released on June 10, 2016 on Interscope. Produced by Jason Lytle, of the band Grandaddy, the album was preceded by the singles "Casual Party", "In A Drawer" and "Solemn Oath". It is the band's last album with guitarist Tyler Ramsey and bassist Bill Reynolds, who left the group in 2017.
The album received a score of 71 out of 100 on review aggregator website Metacritic, indicating "generally favorable" reviews from critics. Engine Start Media gave the album a 7.4/10 rating stating that "Band of Horses certainly have some gems on this record even though they don't make any legitimate breakthroughs on this album. They for most part follow the same formula that made their last two album successful which is to paint pretty pictures of love while simultaneously questioning their security with their interactions with women. This Nick Drake type method works and this nostalgic approach makes a beautiful backdrop for a spontaneous trip to the beach." ClockSound gave the album a 7/10 rating stating that "It is a return to the maturity of 2010 and it offers us a string of melodies which, not only reminded us why we loved them in the first place, but made us sing again their songs".
