Westchase is a community in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 21,747 at the 2010 census. The Census area encompasses most of the 33626 ZIP code area. Westchase is also one of the wealthiest areas of Hillsborough County.
Westchase is located halfway between Tampa and Clearwater. Its boundaries include Oldsmar to the west, Keystone to the north, Town 'n' Country to the south and Citrus Park to the east. Westchase Golf Course is a major recreational amenity for the community and the course is open to the public also (www.westchasegc.com).Tampa Bay Downs Horse Racetrack is located on the area's western edge. It is a large sub-division.
Westchase was founded in 1991 with the approval of the County Commissioners of Hillsborough County.
Westchase is located at 28°3′10″N 82°36′41″W / 28.05278°N 82.61139°W (28.052799, -82.611352) or about 12 miles northwest of Tampa.
