The Wessex Learning Trust is a conglomerate of eight schools in the Cheddar Valley area, comprising six schools accommodating students between the ages of 2 and 9, one middle school accommodating students between the ages of 9 and 13, and one upper school catering for students between the ages of 13 and 18, including a sixth form. On the trust's website, it states that their aim is to "offer a world class, 21st century education for all young people between the ages of 2 and 18, by providing outstanding learning opportunities and creating centres of educational excellence that meet the needs of all children."

In the future, the trust wishes to open a new primary school, accommodating students between the age of 4 and 11, in the heart of the new communities of Brue Farm and Isleport in Somerset. The trust say that "...It will be free to attend and highly inclusive with a distinctive Church of England character, and will offer its pupils the opportunity to grow and develop under-pinned by Christian values."
